I assess your skin or scalp and identify the cause before any treatment begins. If your concern needs surgical, dermatological, or hormonal care, I will refer you to the right specialist. Either way, you leave with clarity and a practical next step.
Dark skin can respond to inflammation with pigmentation, so the right treatment choice matters. I select products and treatment depths that reduce the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. If a treatment is not the safest option for your skin, I will explain why and recommend a better alternative.
Many treatments work by encouraging your skin to repair itself, and that process takes time. If you are preparing for an important date, start at least three months ahead. The goal is skin that looks rested and healthy, so makeup becomes a choice rather than a cover.
Braids, weaves, and tight styling can pull on follicles until they stop growing back, causing traction alopecia. I examine your scalp, assess the stage of hair loss, and explain what can still be treated. If the follicle is alive, I use PRP — platelets concentrated from your own blood. Most people need three sessions, spaced about four weeks apart.
In darker skin, inflammation often leaves pigment behind: a dark mark that remains after the spot has cleared, known as post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. I assess whether your marks are flat or indented. Flat marks can fade with a peel, while indented scars are treated with microneedling and PRP. Most people notice gradual softening over several months.
Overactive sweat glands can produce sweat even when your body does not need cooling, a condition called hyperhidrosis. I assess where and how often you sweat and check for causes such as thyroid concerns or medication. When sweating is the condition itself, Dysport can block the nerve signal to the glands and control sweating for four to six months.
Repeated movement creates lines where muscles fold the skin, while ageing slows collagen production. I assess which concern is present. Movement lines can be softened with Dysport, while skin quality is treated with a hyaluronic acid complex microneedled over three sessions. If the skin has begun to sag, I will advise on the appropriate surgical next step.
Sun exposure, hormones, and friction can trigger uneven pigment, while slower cell turnover can leave the skin feeling rough. I assess pigment depth and the type of texture concern. Peels help with surface pigment and build-up. Deeper pigment can be managed rather than cured. Texture can be treated with microneedling using PRP or a skin renewal complex over three sessions.
Dehydrated skin loses water faster than it replaces it, leaving it tight, dull, and prone to fine lines. I assess whether your skin is dehydrated or naturally dry. Dehydration responds well to treatment; dry skin is managed with an appropriate skincare routine. For dehydration, I microneedle a hydration complex over three sessions.

I combine medical knowledge, safety-focused training, and an eye for natural-looking results to offer non-surgical and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments that are considered, personalised, and evidence-based. I hold Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification, have completed the Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine, and am a member of the Aesthetics and Anti-Aging Medicine Society of South Africa (AAMSSA).
I chose aesthetic medicine because I believe it should be honest, inclusive, and empowering. Too few aesthetic practitioners are specifically trained to understand Black skin, and too many people are quietly discouraged from asking for the results they want. I built my practice for the person who wants to look like themselves on a good day — refreshed, confident, and still unmistakably themselves. My role is to listen carefully, explain clearly, and create a treatment plan you understand, so you leave feeling informed and cared for, not sold to.
